MONA + Plantsava offer a comprehensive range of self-watering systems that are versatile and may be adapted for all purposes, from container plants to plant beds and large plant displays. The systems are simple to use and may be easily installed by both commercial or home gardeners.

Plantsava - The Root Watering System consists of a range of self-watering tanks to fit plant containers of varying sizes. The Billy range is designed specifically for use by the home gardeners.

MONA - The Complete Plant Growth System, on the other hand, is designed for use by commercial gardeners as well as the more advanced and adventurous home gardeners. MONA is a complete plant watering system appropriate for both interior and exterior landscaping as well as unique plant displays.

What is the system?
The Plantsava Range and the MONA Range are advanced and well proven subterranean irrigation systems as adopted around the world from Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen to Disneyland in Tokyo. It has even been used to create gardens in the desserts of Saudi Arabia. They are easy to install and are the cost effective and environmentally friendly solution for interior and exterior landscaping.

How does it work?
The system enables plants to draw water and oxygen naturally through capillary action from the subterranean reservoir. This reservoir has an air/filler pipe attached which allows oxygen to ventilate the soil, and also contains a float to indicate the water level in the reservoir.

What are the advantages?
With traditional surface watering, water flows down through the soil, moistening the roots for a short period of time. Often too much or too little water is added. Aside from not being effective in supplying essential water to the plants, the constant drying and wetting of the roots also causes serious damage, as does the action of washing salts from the surface of the soil down to the roots of the plants.

Plantsava/MONA overcomes these problems by placing a reservoir of water BELOW the roots and uses the soil's natural capillary action to create stable and optimal moisture level for the plant to thrive in.
